I’ve been teaching flute for over 30 years. The thing that’s kept me going all this time… JOY.

I hold a Master’s in Flute Performance, have trained internationally, and played in all kinds of settings, but what lights me up is helping students find their spark. Watching someone smile when they finally get that tough passage, or feel proud of how they sound. This is the best part of my job!

I didn’t get to do a lot of exciting music stuff until college, but once I did, it was like stepping into a whole new world. There were masterclasses, workshops, recitals, competitions, and I was learning about flute history and teaching as well as taking my flute apart. I even had the opportunity of studying in England! Now, I get to share that joy with my students every day.
