Take the Scary out of SCIBA
(incoming 8th grade)
Auditions don't have to be scary!
This fun and helpful workshop is all about getting 8th grade flutists ready for their SCIBA Honor Band audition. We’ll go over everything you need—scales and etudes—in simple steps, with
Tips (Chunking scales)
Tricks (Looping tricky spots)
Practice strategies (Moveable Fermata)
that make everything feel less overwhelming. You’ll get to play, ask questions, learn new practice tricks, and cheer each other on in a supportive group. By the end, you’ll feel more confident and know exactly how to get ready.
